STORIES

Real voices. Real moments. Real girls.

At M4C Foundation, impact is more than numbers. It is a girl sharing her dreams, discovering her voice, laughing with her sisters, or leaving a LILY experience believing a little more in what is possible.
Here, we make space for girls to speak for themselves.
A LIVING COLLECTION

Listen. Meet. Stay a while.

Two collections bring the human side of M4C’s work to life—girls at Sakina Home for Girls and girls discovering their voices through LILY.
SOUNDS OF SAKINA

Hear their voices. Know their dreams.

School mornings, friendships, laughter, celebrations, dreams for the future, and the everyday moments that make a place feel like home.

SOUNDS OF SAKINA HOME FOR GIRLS

Hear their voices. Know their dreams. Be part of their journey.

Sakina is more than a home. It is school mornings, friendships, laughter, celebrations, dreams for the future, and the everyday moments that make a place feel like home. Meet the girls of Sakina and hear from them directly.

Ifra Hassan

In February, three girls were welcomed into Sakina Home from LMD village, escaping a life with their grandparents marked by neglect, overcrowding, and poor living conditions. Halima and Ifrah, sisters, and their cousin Sumeya, were left by parents embroiled in domestic disputes and searches for employment far away, rarely visiting. At Sakina, they found a serene environment offering basic needs and a sense of peace. Halima dreams of becoming a sheik, Ifrah a doctor, and Sumeya a tailor, each cherishing hobbies from reading the Quran to house chores.

Sofia Noor

Sofia Noor

After their parents’ untimely deaths left Halima and Safia orphaned,

they briefly stayed with their overburdened aunt, struggling for basic needs and schooling amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their return to their aunt’s care after their orphanage closed was short-lived,

as they found a new home at Sakina Home, offering stability, care, and a sense of family.

Passionate about their futures,

Safia aspires to be a pilot, sharing her sister’s love for swimming and dancing,

and also playing netball.

malyun musa

Malyun Musa

After losing her parents, Maliyun lived with her grandmother, a camel milk vendor in Isiolo, struggling with basic needs and sometimes sleeping on the floor.

She thrives at Sakina Home, appreciating the loving environment, play opportunities, proper meals, and dressing.

She enjoys the quality education at Brainstar Academy, valuing the amenities like the school bus

and swimming pool, and aspires to become a pediatrician, enjoying swimming and skipping.
